Red, White and Blue (2026)

This piece was a personal reflection on my feelings about America’s 250th anniversary.

Created on July 4th, it simply yet powerfully speaks of the grief and sorrow felt by myself and many other Americans at the current state of our country. . . from the mass deportations to the murders by ICE, to the gutting of the Voting Rights Act, to the death of Nolan Wells, the US-Iran war, US complicity in Israeli war crimes in Gaza and Lebanon, ongoing political polarization and radicalization online, hollowing communities and skyrocketing loneliness, growing animosity between young men and women, increasing inequality and unrestrained corporate power harming the environment and local communities. . . the list goes on.

Will our nation ever be the place it claims to be?
